Good Morning from Shanghai!! Its Thursday morning and all day yesterday we could not access the internet. It is very hit and miss. :( Yesterday, it was rainy all day in Shanghai so we decided to stay in. We were very lazy but had a lot of play time with Riley. Riley has smiled and laughed more everyday we have had her. We did go swimming and Riley LOVED it! I already have three water babies, looks like I will have 1 more! We can tell eating and going to sleep are not fond memories for Riley. When she is eating and has only 2-4 bites left, her whole demeanor changes. She shuts down. It comes across to us..I only have 3 bites left, when will I ever be fed again. It breaks our hearts. Then when you take her out of her chair she cries and cries. I have to reassure her food is available and give her a cracker. Most of the time she doesn't even eat it but since she can hold it she is content. It is her security blanket!!
Today, we are getting the royal treatment. One of my friends from high school lives over here in Shanghai with her husband and kids. She is coming to get us to take us back to her house for lunch and a play date. We are going to get to do all of our laundry. YAY!! Thank goodness!! Also, she has made Riley a doctors appointment to check out her head with a doctor that can speak ENGLISH! I am so excited and thankful for her. It is going to be great to catch up!
